Silent Touch Foundation Launches Desk-Making Initiative to Support Schools

Published: June 25, 2026

Silent Touch Foundation has launched a desk-making initiative aimed at improving learning conditions in schools by producing durable and affordable desks for pupils in underserved communities.

The project brings together skilled artisans, volunteers, and community members to design and construct quality school desks that address the shortage of classroom furniture in many primary schools. Through this initiative, the foundation seeks to ensure that every child has a comfortable and supportive space for learning.

The desk-making program not only benefits schools but also creates opportunities for skills development and employment within the community. Participants involved in the project gain practical carpentry and craftsmanship experience while contributing to a meaningful cause.

Speaking about the initiative, foundation representatives highlighted the importance of investing in educational infrastructure.

"A child's learning environment plays a vital role in their academic success. By making and supplying desks to schools, we are helping create classrooms where pupils can learn with dignity, comfort, and confidence."

The first batch of desks has already been completed and distributed to selected schools, where teachers and pupils have welcomed the improvement in classroom conditions. The initiative is expected to expand to reach more schools facing similar challenges.

Community leaders have praised the project for addressing a critical need while promoting local participation and sustainable development.

Silent Touch Foundation remains committed to supporting education through innovative community-driven solutions that improve learning outcomes and empower future generations.
